Pardes Lower & Middle Schools

Lower School Overview

The Pardes Lower School is comprised of incredible children in Kindergarten through 4th grade. Our students bound through the school gates each morning with energy, exuberance and a desire to learn with their highly-skilled teachers. Our teachers create an inspiring environment balancing hands-on learning with more traditional approaches. Our teachers put practices into place to develop learning experiences that encourage the children to ask questions, think creatively, master skills, and develop an understanding of the world around them. Each year builds upon the next, allowing our students to soar as individuals within the warmth of our community.

Middle School Overview

The middle school curriculum integrates secular and Jewish studies to provide a rigorous and meaningful academic experience. Students receive top-notch training in the academic core subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies), Jewish subjects (Judaic Studies and Hebrew), and supplementary subjects (P.E., Spanish, Technology, and our enrichment curriculum). Their teachers are talented, dedicated, experienced professionals. Excellent, up-to-date resources support learning, which is conducted in spacious and well-resourced classrooms. All our middle school classrooms are equipped with smart boards and related technology, ensuring students have access to innovative teaching resources second to none.

The faculty provides an exciting, caring, respectful learning environment in which students learn how to think. Leadership opportunities are frequent, as are Tikkun Olam experiences which foster links between grade levels and with our wider community. A learning specialist works closely with teachers, and with students who require additional academic assistance in order to achieve success.

A strong emphasis on moving students forward from their successful elementary experiences and preparing them for future success in high school underpins our philosophy for middle school. The development of the individual as learner, leader and independent member of a strong community is our goal for these challenging middle school years. Our strong faculty works as a team in order to model and teach essential skills and develop enduring knowledge for high school and beyond.
