Financial aid at Pardes is provided primarily through the Jewish Tuition Organization (JTO). These awards are granted solely on the basis of demonstrated family need and the availability of funds.
For the 2016 - 2017 school year, nearly 48% of students received some form of financial aid, with the average award of nearly $8,000. The minimum award was $4,000 for qualifying families. The guidelines of the Jewish Tuition Organization are that a family with a Federal Adjusted Gross Income of up to $300,000 may be eligible for an award. These awards are funded with tax credit dollars available to taxpayers in the State of Arizona.
There are other School Tuition Organization (STOs) in the state that can also help fund private school tuition, Arizona School Choice Trust (ASCT) has funded some Pardes students, along with Arizona Private Education Scholarship Fund (APESF.) Parents are encouraged to research other STOs in Arizona and to apply as appropriate to hopefully secure additional funding if needed. The Pardes Financial Aid Office can provide further details. While the list of STOs changes periodically, we have included on this page a list of Student Tuition Organizations that may fund Pardes students.
For more information regarding financial aid opportunities, please contact Patti Evans, chief financial officer at email@example.com or 480-991-9141.
A school tuition organization cannot award, restrict or reserve scholarships solely on the basis of donor recommendation. A taxpayer may not claim a tax credit if the taxpayer agrees to swap donations with another taxpayer to benefit either taxpayer’s own dependent. The Jewish Tuition Organization does not accept donor recommendations. All scholarships are need-based. Consult your tax advisor for specific tax advice.
