Teacher In-Service Focuses on 21st Century Project Based Learning
During this past Monday's Teacher In-Service day, the Pardes staff participated in a highly anticipated professional development on effective 21st Century Project Based Learning, implementation of the global maker movement, and learning by doing. Thank you to Dr. Gary Stager, an internationally recognized educator, speaker, and consultant, who took the faculty and staff on a team-building journey as they experienced firsthand what it means to "put the learner at the center of the learning process" and what Piaget truly meant when he said, "Knowledge is a consequence of experience." Pardes faculty and staff will continue to strive to answer the overarching question of, "How can we make the school day the best 7 hours of a student's life every day?"Constructivism is alive and thriving at Pardes Jewish Day School!!
