Learning experiences outside of the classroom provide a wonderful opportunity for our students to extend their knowledge, develop leadership skills, build friendships and discover and strengthen their interests. Pardes offers students many ways to get involved outside of the classroom. Whether it is the performing arts, student council or athletics, our hope is that each student finds a way to become an active and involved member of the Pardes community.
As a Jewish Day School, Jewish learning also spreads far beyond the Hebrew and Jewish Studies classrooms. Our students are surrounded by Jewish values and embrace their Judaism as they celebrate the Jewish holidays together as a kehila (community). Tikkun Olam projects help our students apply their Jewish values and connect them with the greater community.
Special visitors also provide opportunities to enhance each student’s experience on campus. Whether it is the members of the Phoenix Symphony orchestra, ChildsPlay theatre or a representative from a local animal shelter, these guests enable our students to connect their learning to their own personal lives and the outside world.
