Steven Campanelli originally came to Pardes as a long-term substitute teacher and is now in his fourth year teaching fifth grade. Prior to moving to Arizona, Mr. Campanelli, known to his students as Mr. C., spent ten years working at an independent school in southern California where he taught second, third, fourth and fifth grade. While there, he was also the Curriculum Coordinator for the elementary school, the elementary rep on CODI – the school’s diversity committee, and for two years maintained the position of faculty liaison to the Board of Trustees. Mr. C. graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University at Northridge with a Bachelors of Art in Education (concentration in Linguistics), and he holds an Arizona State Teaching Certificate as a “highly-qualified” elementary teacher. Before entering the world of education, Mr. C. spent nearly twenty years in the performing arts industry dividing his time between Los Angeles and New York City. He brings some of his creative skill to Pardes every spring as director of the Middle School theatrical production. Mr.C is the proud parent of two boys, one of whom is a graduate of Pardes.
