What grade did you begin at Pardes?

Kindergarten – I will be a Pardes Lifer when I graduate in May.

What do you love most about Pardes Jewish Day School?

I love the all-school activities that we have throughout the school year.  Programs like the Chanukah show, the Yom Ha’atzmaut celebration, and Color Wars really give us the opportunity to engage with students of all different ages, instead of hanging out with just students in our grade.

What is one word that best describes the school?

Inclusive: I chose this word because Pardes is all about taking care of everyone, and making sure no one is left out. Once every month, we have meetings with our grade and teachers where we discuss Hineni.  We discuss how to prevent and stop bullying from happening on our campus, and really anywhere in our life.

Please briefly describe your overall experience at Pardes Jewish Day School.

My experience at Pardes has been many things, all good.  In my years at Pardes, I have been shown kindness, care, and compassion which has in turn showed me how to be kind, caring, and compassionate.  Pardes has helped me blossom into the person I am today with their sense of community and friendship, and I will forever be thankful for that.

In what ways do you think Pardes Jewish Day School is preparing you for high school?

Pardes has prepared me for high school by teaching me how act right in class and be respectful, as well as set me up with a multitude of amazing academic skills in every class I have had.  Pardes has shown me that patience is the key to success, which I think will help me a lot when I am in high school.

What would you tell a friend who is thinking about coming to Pardes Jewish Day School?

I would tell them that if they want to come to an understanding, kind, amazing school full of awesome teachers, they should definitely consider Pardes.  Our teachers don’t only care about what we academically learn in a year, but they also care about how you have emotionally grown in a year and about your well-being.  The teachers here make it seem like it isn’t just a job, it’s an experience of a lifetime working to grow the minds of children and helping to shape them into wonderful people.
