Mrs. Nicole Stokes
What do you love most about Pardes Jewish Day School?
I love the community feeling when we come together as a school for holidays, celebrations, and learning.
Why do you like teaching at Pardes Jewish Day School?
I love having the freedom to teach and differentiate the learning in my classroom for each student every year. My classroom never looks the same and the learning looks different based on the group of children I have, which it keeps it fun, fresh and always engaging!
What is a unique experience, talent or interest that your bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?
From the beginning of my career, I have been trained to work with students of all different capabilities and learning styles. In addition, I’m a mom to a son who learns differently so I have a keen awareness and sensitivity to children and all aspects of their learning. I always try to look at learning through the lens of the students, and I strive to make it engaging and to use multiple modalities so I can support each child not only academically, but socially and emotionally so maximum learning can take place.
Describe how students benefit from the academic classes and being part of the Pardes community.
Students are a part of small class sizes with differentiated learning, research based programs, and experiential learning in a community that supports and values a well rounded Jewish education.
What sets Pardes Jewish Day School students apart from other students?
Their love for their peers, the school, and the community. They are happy, engaged and love coming to school each day!
When you aren’t teaching at Pardes, where can we find you?
You can find me with my amazing family, shopping, reading or dreaming of the beach!
