What grade did you begin at Pardes?
What grade are you currently in at Pardes?
What do you love most about Pardes Jewish Day School?
How the teachers are always there for us and how I feel safe when I walk through the doors, physically and emotionally.
What is one word that best describes the school? Tell us why you chose that word.
Safe, because I feel safe when I make mistakes. I feel like I can do things without being judged.
Why do you enjoy attending a Jewish Day School?
Because I can really embrace my culture.
Tell us about one of your favorite memories at Pardes.
One of my favorite memories was this year (sixth grade) when I made a board game and was able to speak with a worker at Mattel (a game and toys production company) and see if they were interested in using my game. I haven’t talked to anyone else since then, but I’m sure I will be really proud of whatever happens, even if they don’t want to use it.
What would you tell a friend who is thinking about coming to Pardes Jewish Day School?
I would tell them that they will really enjoy it here and that even through rough times like quarantine, they were able to make it so we still learned and still had fun. An example of that is how on the last day we had a scavenger hunt and because it was online it turned out better because people could do things like jump in pools (I did that) to represent gravity and earn their team an extra 250 points.
