Ways to Give
Pardes Jewish Day School is more than just a school. We are a community of active and passionate learners who embrace challenge, seek collaboration, and support one another at every turn. We understand that to teach the leaders of tomorrow, we need to give them the tools necessary to succeed today.
As a school, we are able to accomplish this – and so much more – because of our community’s spirit of generosity. The Pardes Annual Fund provides a foundation of support that allows us to offer students an exceptional educational experience that promotes deeper learning.
Please join us and countless members of our community in supporting Pardes Jewish Day School. Every gift matters. Every gift makes a difference. Discover the Possibilities!
Ways to Give
The Pardes Annual Fund energizes all of us at Pardes to nurture a common purpose and responsibility: to grow and enrich the school’s educational resources. Your Pardes Annual Fund gift is part of that indispensable, community-wide investment in the education of each Pardes student.
Tuition alone does not cover the entire cost of educating a student at Pardes. Like most independent schools, Pardes counts on voluntary support from parents and other members of the community to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and annual operating expenses. Pardes Annual Fund donations are unrestricted. That means Pardes can designate these gifts in flexible and diverse ways, enhancing excellence throughout all grades and all aspects of the school.
A Culture of Generosity
We invite Pardes families and friends to make the school a philanthropic priority. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our extended community to help enrich the lives of our students, inspiring them to be bold thinkers, engaged citizens and our Jewish leaders of tomorrow. Tax-deductible gifts also make a Pardes education accessible to families with wideranging financial means.
Pardes Tribute Program
Tributes are a wonderful way to celebrate a Simcha, recognize an accomplishment, mark a milestone, honor a family member, friend, colleague or mentor, or remember a loved one. At the same time, you will be helping Pardes Jewish Day School. Tributes may be made for a minimum contribution of $18.
Use a Tribute to:
Celebrate: anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, births, bar/bat mitzvahs, confirmation, graduations

Most of us would agree that children are among the most precious gifts in life, and our responsibility to educate them and help them reach their potential is one that we at Pardes Jewish Day School take very seriously.
The Gala helps raise important dollars that give Pardes the creative edge in developing the artists, scholars, young leaders and engaged citizens of tomorrow. The Gala is attended by over 300 community members and includes cocktails, food, a silent auction and a live auction.
The success of the Gala is in large part due to the many community businesses and individuals that participate. We invite you to join them and consider becoming a sponsor of the event. There are several sponsorship levels which include tickets to the event, an Ad in our Ad Journal and many other incentives.
For additional information about any of these giving options, please contact Tami Adelman, Director of School Advancement, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pardes Jewish Day School is proud to partner with the Grinspoon Foundation and the Jewish Community Foundation on our planned giving program called Life & Legacy.
Through the Life & Legacy program, you can invest in your future, your family’s future and Pardes’ future. A Life & Legacy gift will help sustain Pardes well into the future while providing benefits to you, including solidifying lifetime family income and reducing taxes.
You can learn more about Life & Legacy options including bequests, charitable gift annuities and gifts of real estate by clicking here. We recommend that you explore these vehicles with your financial advisor to determine which is best for you.

Jewish Tuition Organization
What is it:
It is a state program that allows Arizona residents to redirect a portion of their Arizona tax obligation in support of the financial aid program of their favorite independent school – Pardes Jewish Day School. Participants then receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against their Arizona income taxes.
How much can I give:
For the 2017 tax year, married couples filing jointly can contribute up to $2,177. Individuals can contribute up to $1,089.
How does it work:
Make your 2017 Tax Credit contribution to The Jewish Tuition Organization. The JTO will send you a receipt for your contribution. Hold on to it. When filing your taxes, have you or your accountant complete Arizona Forms 323 and 348 to deduct the full amount of your contribution as a credit on your state tax return. To help you out, the JTO will send you those forms with your receipt.
What if I owe the state for the 2017 tax year?
Your Tax Credit contribution will give you a dollar-for-dollar credit on your state taxes. You will deduct your contribution from what you owe the state.
Example: You owe $3,000 to the state, and you make a Tax Credit contribution of $2,177. You now only owe the state $823.
What if the state owes me a refund?
Your state refund will be increased by the amount of your Tax Credit contribution.
Example: You are due a refund from the state of $500. You make a Tax Credit contribution of $2,177 and you’ve now increased your refund to $2,677.
Who can participate?
Anyone who pays Arizona state taxes can contribute – relatives, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. It’s really that simple!
NOTICE: A school tuition organization cannot award, restrict or reserve scholarships solely on the basis of donor recommendation. A taxpayer may not claim a tax credit if the taxpayer agrees to swap donations with another taxpayer to benefit either taxpayer’s own dependent. The Jewish Tuition Organization does not accept donor recommendations. All scholarships are need based. Consult your tax advisor for specific tax advice. According to A.R.S. 43-1603 (C)
