Panther Athletics continues to grow in size and stature with every coming school year. With nearly 20 competitive teams, most of which compete in the Mountain Valley Athletic League, Pardes continues to add to a storied tradition when it comes to sports. More than three-quarters of our middle school students participate in at least one sport, with many competing in all three seasons.

A LOOK BACK AT 2023-2024

Our Pardes Panthers did us proud in 2023-24, bringing home MVAL trophies in a number of sports. For the second year in a row, our 7/8 Girls Volleyball team were MVAL champions. Our 5/6 Girls Basketball and Boys Soccer also claimed MVAL titles and went undefeated on the year. The 7/8 Boys Basketball won a thriller semifinal game against PCDS in double overtime, but fell short in the championship game. The Panthers also received Runner-Up finishes from 5/6 Girls Volleyball and Boys Tennis.

History was made this past year when Pardes launched our first Golf program in the history of the school. An immediate impact was felt from seventh grader Max Halpert who finished fourth overall this year, out of 30 golfers.

Student First Athletics

At Pardes, we emphasize that everyone participating in Athletics is a student-athlete, and in that order. Panther Athletics rewards both the individual student-athlete and our teams who maintain their GPA.

4th Grade Athletics

Pardes is one of the few K-8 schools in the Phoenix Valley that allows fourth graders to be part of its Athletics Program. Fourth graders practice with the 5/6 teams in preparation for the next year when they become part of the active league roster.

Opportunity for Growth

Pardes sees athletics as an invaluable opportunity for growth in so many areas, so all students able to play on athletic teams. Depending on the turnout for each respective sport and level, multiple teams are established so that all students can benefit from a transformative experience of playing a middle school sport.
