Ms. Sara Lovstrom
What inspired you to become a teacher?
Growing up I always struggled in school, socially and in academics. I felt like if I had a teacher or a coach to talk to, my experience would have been a lot different. I became a teacher to be that person kids can talk to about their lives and make going to school a positive experience.
What makes teaching at Pardes special?
Teaching at Pardes is special to me because I get to work with teachers who truly care about the kids they teach. To me Pardes is not only a school, but a community and a family.
What is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?
Being a female athlete and inspiring girls to love sports is one of my passions. I want all girls to know they can do anything and that includes playing sports. I strive to make PE and after school sports fun and something kids look forward to.
Describe how students benefit from the academic classes and being part of the Pardes community.
The academics at Pardes are outstanding. The class sizes are small and that allows the teachers to connect with all the students and make sure everyone is getting the education they deserve.
What sets Pardes Jewish Day School students apart from other students?
The students at Pardes are different then kids who attend other schools because our kids get to experience much more than just academics. They get to participate in sports, music, art, drama, Hebrew, Student Council, Spanish, and Jewish Studies. This makes our students well rounded and able to connect with people on many levels.
When you aren’t teaching at Pardes, where can we find you?
When I am not at Pardes you can find me hiking and hanging out with my family and my two dogs.
