Kesher – Parent Volunteers

Dear Prospective Pardes Families,

The Hebrew word Kesher means connection.  Our Kesher organization, or Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), does a great deal to help our Pardes community by connecting parents, teachers, administration, and staff.  We provide support for the entire school, whether it is sending a meal home to a family, working on a Tikkun Olam project, making something for Staff Appreciation Week, and everything in between.

Volunteering is a critical part of the Pardes experience, and a great way to develop new connections, have fun and show your kids what community involvement looks like – any level of participation is welcome and deeply appreciated!  Please pick one or more committees that interest you and send us an email at

Kesher Volunteer Opportunities:

If you are interested in being considered for a Committee Chair position, please let us know by email us at

We ask every Pardes parent to volunteer, even if only one or two hours each month. This will be deeply meaningful to our efforts and is essential to reach our goal of fortifying a close-knit community with a deep home-to-school connection.

Thank you in advance for your support of our many programs in store this year!

“We are thrilled to welcome you to our Pardes Community and look forward to your involvement in Kesher!”

Kesher supports the efforts of Pardes through a variety of wonderful committees:

All Hands on Deck:

This is our “go to” committee for any last minute help and assistance, whether it is preparation for an event or additional volunteers.

Tikkun Olam:

The Tikkun Olam committee helps coordinate our school wide food drives as well as our holiday gift collection.

Chagim (Holidays):

Work with school to help plan holiday celebrations and volunteer at the events. It is a great way to get a glimpse of your children on campus!

This committee works with the school to help coordinate the Scholastic Book Fair and the Book Swap.

Project Ezra:

This committee works with our Pardes community to recognize life cycle events within our Pardes families. They coordinate a food delivery or gift when appropriate.

This committee plans social events for the school. Events may include staff appreciation lunches, a Sisterhood brunch, as well as family events.

Staff Birthdays:

This committee recognizes the Pardes faculty and staff members on their birthdays.
